  • Re: Dead S45 woofers

I agree, the original woofers are the best. They are not off-the-shelf types and if any specs could have been changed to make them better, B&O would have ordered them differently. Please confirm that we are talking about Beovox S45 (or S45-2) type 6302 or 6312, that is the woofers with rubber surrounds. Martin

  • Re: Beogram 2400 - autolift mechanism problems

Welcome to Beoworld ! I can't see anything wrong in the photo. The usual problem is that the vertical brass rod has seized in dried lubricants inside its bushing. We've seen this twenty times or more. Do a search on the forum and you will find lots more info and I believe also a photo (not unlike yours) showing where to lubricate. If something

  • Re: beocenter 7700 tape

Clearly a belt fault. There are two screws under the black grill at the rear. Make sure you get the correct ones or you will dismount the lid spring. That's not the 4 large head screws but the two smaller. And watch out when you lift up the right hand section, there are some cables and plugs that prevents the section from being lifted more than

  • Re: Parts for beomaster 1900-2

Beomaster 1900, 1900-2, 2400 & 2400-2 all share the same panels and they are plastic. Either white or real wood veneer glued on plastic colored to apprx the same color as the veneer to help cover eventual chips and other imperfections. Finding a nice set of white panels could prove very hard and probably not cheap either. Martin

  • Re: Beocenter 7002 tuning cord.

Has the cord snapped ? It's quite commont to find the tuning capacitor/resistor seized in dried lubricants, causing the cord to slip (or the small gear wheel to break). Martin

  • Re: Beomaster 8000 acting wonky

The difficult part is to get cloth that is flexible enough to both do the sharp corners and the embossed lettering and still be strong enough to work with. Martin

  • Re: Beomaster 8000 acting wonky

Charles, As long as the woofers are still playing, they can usually be refoam'ed with good results. They are welcome here and you can ship only the woofers. I have done many from the US but I'm sure that there must be a good refoam'er over there to save on the shipping though I'm afraid I cannot guide you to one. Maybe someone else can

I suppose Frede (Beoworld member Classic) would be the one to ask. Martin

Welcome to Beoworld ! What a nice system. BM8000; Capacitors, yes. A kit is available. Check also for cracked solder joints at the edge connectors between the processor and display boards. Intermittent faults here can cause the strangest faults and there are essential signals running through here, not only to the displays. RL140; You will dismount the
