Guys, I'm not trying to be a mod or anything, but can we keep the discussion relevant to the topic - new products 2008/2009. I keep checking this thread for discussion on new products and it's become a top-end technical discussion on the BL5!
-
I suppose one way of looking at thing is that if B&O reduced all components by 25%, then even though our existing products had a far lower trade-in value, at least the new products would be 25% lower. For instance, if my BV7-40 MKIII was reduced to £6.5K, it meant that the BV4 would also be reduced, so when I decide to upgrade, the price between

355f: I think I want to buy the North American versions of B&O- they get HD sound- we dont. We get the crash to off - they dont- its hardly fair Nor any white flash issues either, bear in mind. However, they do get multi-coloured speaker/TV combos that we don't get over here.
-
Razlaw: I wonder if the 4.24 North American version is different? I have no problems with it. Razlaw, have you read the entire thread? Do you have an STB connected via HDMI?

Alex: Apple doesn't have anything like the BeoSound 5 in it's product range. But neither does B&O. In the same way we're discussing a future B&O product (which could be on-sale as late as Feb 2009), we don't ever really know what Apple has around the corner.

Razlaw: Moxxey, you are humorous. You have withdrawn? No wonder Peter wants to stop this thread. Indeed, I agree with him. As I asked the question originally, I'm going to PM him and say it should be locked. Discussing this with you is pointless, whether you believe in your 'free speech' or not.

Dave: I was loaned one by my fantastic dealer but i DID NOT like the sound. It was far too slow for the beolabs when listening to music Correct. My BL3s sound way better with music, when disconnected from the BL2. The BL2 was no good with fast-moving electronic music. It's superb when watching movies, but can still overwhelm the bass in a small

Razlaw: I think perhaps a consensus is being reached in this thread....the BS3 does in fact support Dolby TrueHD/DTS Master HD if the Blu-Ray player does the decoding, although whether the maximum sample rate is 96kHz or 192kHz does not appear to be settled given the conflicting statements from B and O? Am I correct? Razlaw, 355f and I have withdrawn

355f: For a variety of reasons there is little I can now add to this debate, that has not been said already; accordingly, I have decided to retire Same here. The only thing I'd like to see is someone like The Stig, Peter or similar find out more info from B&O. In the meantime, I'll just sit back and enjoy my Blu-ray's. In fairness, although

takktakk: Hi all. I just bought a BV 7-40 with the 7-4 speaker (have not received it yet) and also bought Beolab 1... Although I've now disconnected my BL2 with the 7.4/BL9 combo, I'd certainly recommend the BL2 with the combo you suggest. It will add more depth - it will with the BL9's. The problem I had is that I found the bass was too
