For Snow Leopard I had to instal a package "Candelair" which definitely states it is for IR support of the Apple Remote to give smoother scrolling ... and when I run Windows via VMWare Fusion I have to activate a connection from Windows to the MacBook's IR But I don't know where the receiver is on the MacBook ... which I believe you

Can I do the reverse ? In testing PhilLondon's LinkPlayer I would like to have the MacBook under Net.Music control, and have the BV8 play the Net.Music coming from the BeoPort over the ML, but also simultaneously display on the BV8 a visual feed from the MacBook ... So the configuration is like this [Mac]...audio...[BeoPort]...ML-Audio...[BV8]
