soundproof: But I have found out that the graphics card in the Mac Mini is having a little trouble processing Wi-Fi without little skips in the signal -- will look into this and post a solution. Turns out my Mac mini was sick - the network card was bad. Got a replacement unit today, hooked it up - presto! Now it's receiving streamed movies from

I agree with gk31ax -- but would like to add: if you really want to exploit the high quality a pair of BeoLab 4000 can deliver, then just using a minijack to speakers connection can easily be improved upon. The signal is sent to the AEX in digital form, and is then converted from Digital-to-Analog inside the AEX, through the in built DAC (Digital-to

Hagen, I have found that running B&O speakers from other equipment is quite painless. I've never come across the signal drop out from not supplying the "control voltage of +5V" you speak of. Am trying out various receivers/processors and am using a Linn Unidisk SC and a Primare receiver. Both have analog outs for the various surround

Actually, you can make it compatible with all the functions that a Beo4 can perform ... Check out iRed and irTrans -- the latter is the hardware and the former the software. What you want is iRed 2.0, which should be released any moment (I know they are working on it). Several members here are using previous versions to emulate a Beo4 (search the site

Twilight Samurai and La tourneuse de pages. Both excellent films - and then I dug out my old copy of Sleuth (Caine/Olivier) to refresh before the release of the remake with Caine and Law.

I have been using a Linn Unidisk SC player - which is a universal player that accepts just about any format, including all video and audio dvds. Very good multichannel handling of SACD. While SACD as a disk based format's been called into doubt repeatedly, there are a number of SACD releases, and in audiophile circles the format's catching on

Words are unnecessary. Watch the video. Clik the video link on the far right, under the iPod. http://www.iospirit.com/index.php?mode=view&obj_type=infogroup&obj_id=24&o_infogroup_objcode=infogroup-23&sid=4345935G35a9d44fca5a0db3

I'm quite blown away, I have been programming my iPod Touch to control iTunes and DVD-Pedia, etc., using Remote Buddy. Wireless, two way, can pick speaker pairs (through connected Airport Express units), control playback, find music ... This is the Touch display (one of various - there's another very pretty one with the whole cover on the display

This may be down to how you have set your television (BV7?) to handle the signal. I doubt that it processes 5.1 from the analog signal coming out of the Mac Mini. (However, you can get surround out from the Mac Mini). Yesterday I was streaming movies to the iMac a block away from the server, showing movies without a glitch over wireless. But I have

I've actually replied to this hours ago, but it went to moderation for some mysterious reason. (Very persnickety feature of BeoWorld, by the way). DVDPedia will most likely put Kaleidescape out of business. It's remarkably superbly excellent. You have to rip your DVDs to your harddisk using Mactheripper or Handbrake. I prefer Mactheripper. You
