Keith Saunders: The two systems are very similar, but the Beosystem 2500 has Beolab 2500 speakers and also Masterlink. I thought they all had RDS?? Just checked the service manual and there is no mention of non RDS versions.

All the tangential decks from the 3000 upwards have the same motor and the same mechanicals. Your cheapest option is probably to buy a cosmetically challenged deck on ebay (they go for silly cheap money), rob the motor to replace yours and see how the arm drive is cabled up.

You probably need to set it up to work with your equipment. Remove all items from the list and add your items one by one and try again. Instructions are in the user manual.

j0hnbarker: joeyboygolf: Afraid not. Only MCP5000 is suitable. Not quite true. A Terminal 5000 will work and is less bulky than the MCP. Quite correct, I always forget about that!
