j0hnbarker: I just lied and said that the Pentas I bought would be 3ft tall and not dominate our living room... I was a little more devious, I bought some RL140's which are the size of a barn door which I just knew my wife would hate. Swapping them for penta's was just soooo easy. BTW she wasn't totally enamoured by the size of the penta's

Again - B&O won't say but not that many black BS7000's were made.

BeoSideOfLife: Quite a surprice to find that it is so rare... Lee, do you know how many were made? Was it a part of the bs7000? I thought that the MCP line was replace by the bl7000... What would be the retail on one of these? B&O have never released production figures I'm afaraid but there were definately not manay of these made that's

I'm pretty sure it was produced to match the black system 7000, it can't have been for the systems 5500 or 6500 as these were only never made in black. Chris.

I'd say it was extremely rare if it is what you say. I've never seen one. A couple of photo's would be most welcome if that would be possible Chris.

Probably for the same reasons other manufacturers discontinue products. They will have decided this product/design had run its course and they superceded it with the beosound 9000 which is a fair enough repacement IMO. B&O designs do tend to run much longer than other manufacturers but I agree with your comment regarding it being a favourite. Another

I know what you mean Simon but I think the writer of a song tends to perform it as it was meant to be. Take David Bowies version of "Across The Universe" which is very good but pales against the original Beatles version with Lennon on vocals. Speaking of Lennon - I think I'll add "Fame" to my list which he co-wrote & provided
