Weebyx: Hi, i am seriously thinking on changing my BV7-40MKIII to the new 50" BV4 Plasma.. I've been looking at this for a few months now. The only two things that hold me back are: 1) You have to buy a separate BS3. It's not worth the asking price if you factor in the BV4-50+BS3. That's £11K for a screen. A screen! 2) You'd

Gerd: LOL! There`s only ONE version - BeoVision 7-40 MKIII - with SW 4.24! I don't have much confidence in B&O's 'customer service'. When I had major issues with my BV8-26, B&O UK didn't reply, the PR dept of B&O replied but did nothing to help and the customer services said they'd look in to the issue, but never

Bizarrely, that's what I hinted at, yet people on here flamed me saying 'no no no, it's the way forward, it will be installed in the BV7 and it will replace SD-DVD' etc etc. That's why B&O aren't rushing in to Blu-ray internal drives as BV7's are designed to last. 355f is right, he can't see how it's going to

jk1002: You will be allright with the 32. I would expect the BV8 40 to be more expensive.. And might not be available immediately. Anyone know a release date?

With little news coming from our dealers, we've been told that the new direction for B&O, their stores and products will be announced at the dealer conference in Cannes, this week. They say no news is good news, but in this case I'm not so sure. Any news sneaking out from the conference? Although I'm sure there are things that they can't

I'd always go for the 5's. However, whether this is practical depends on your situation. The BL9's are overpowering even in medium sized rooms. As I've posted before, the guys in the apartment two floors below have complained - twice - about the bass. If the BL5's can handle this better (as Alex says), then the BL5's. However

I had a BV7 with 7.2 and recently moved up to the 7.4 + BL9's. Superb. Massive difference in audio quality, particularly for movies and PS3 games. I had a mate over the other day and we were on Burnout Paradise - last played in February with the 7.2 - and the audio difference was astonishing. We both noticed sounds we simply didn't hear before

timhanna: Moxxey, i believe that the new bv7 will use the bv8 chasis, which is cheaper, but does have hdmi. i dont believe that its technically better. Tim, the key word there is 'believe'. Neither of us know. Dealers don't know. It may have a better panel, for example. The BV7-32 MKIII is a pretty decent TV and doesn't really require
