moxxey: BTW, did anyone else receive that questionnaire from B&O asking what we think of our BV7? They're starting to ask some odd questions - comparing the TV experience with brands such as Gucci, Samsung and so on. Oh dear Only a short step from taking styling advice from Coleen!

The UK pricing could be interesting - if Europe sees large price reductions but with collapse of the GBP exchange rate, maybe the UK will be unable to pass on any reduction from the factory.
-
Alex: Bear in mind the cost of essentially opening up new production lines for the aluminium parts/body parts which only fit the DVD-only version. Most people will still go for the DVD/BR-inc. version (I suspect, it's one of the BeoVision 7's strongest selling points).

Seems a helluva price drop for removing the DVD player ................. maybe they just thought it was overpriced Sorry
-
Lorup: ................. I’m considering placing it on a table next to my sofa......................... Mind you don't trip over all the wires
-
rgs218: Thanks everyone. In that case I think I'll go for it and I'll keep an eye out for a working CD player on Ebay to add to it later. How much should I be looking to pay for one? And what are the best speakers to upgrade to, bearing in mind I'm on a relatively tight student's budget!? Anything from £70 to £150 for a CD
-
avus17: I have bought 1 year used BeoViison 7 32" in mint condition 2 years ago. It has cost me 5.800,-€ with HD update (DVI). The TV now is 3 years old, MKI version. Works perfectly. What do BeoFans think, is it worth to sell this set and buy a new BeoVision 7 40'' next year? The additional payment would be around 8000 to 9000,-€

Alex: ................You may say £500 for a B&O system is hardly anything, but for a student who is also trying to save up for university and earning relatively little in the great scheme of things, this is a huge amount of money for me! - I did exacty the same 25 years ago! Third year of University.........just married, no car, a fifth hand
-
Happy birthday Mate! 34 eh - you must remember when the buses had wooden seats I'm dreading reaching 34
-
Well it seems to matter to B&O who point out - ".................... BeoVision 4 is remarkably slim on the wall. The slender profile is accentuated .........." As for the wireless thing, there an awful lot of TV manufacturers releasing wireless TV's for you to be sceptical about.
