I believe you can force it to a certain type of output. . in the service menu I'll look when I get home and check. . I want to say there is some way to do this though. Of course, if you pick "Speaker 5" it should go to whatever the 'best' encoding on your media is.

When I connect it to the dock for software d/l it flashes on and off with this screen. . it's off to the repair shop. . hopefully a new one will be coming. . maybe they'll let me trade for a beo6??? MJM

let me ask this obvious question. . if your ipod is 'docked' in to the station. . then what will be the benefit of the 'app' it won't have anything to do with controlling it, merely setting up playlist and allowing BEO remote commands i'd assume. .

A couple questions Trip: Will the BS5 Encore be a 'portable' piece? I anticipate not,but am curious. Also, beonet seems to be doing away with Beolink Wireless. . since it appears some type of wireless communication will be built in. Lastly, will the BS5 Encore use the B&O software currently in place for the Beomedia/BM5 or something new

You must have the Ra2 switches/dimmers and the repeater. The repeater has an rs232 plug as well as an ethernet. I use the RS232 with my MLGW. IT works perfectly. However, Ra2 will not control the B&O Grafik EYE. The Ra2 is all controlled via RF and the B&O Grafik Eye is IR at 45Khz. As such, the B&O Grafik Eye must be controlled independently

Well. . . .. . that worked but unfortunately the old config will not upload to the BEO5 It says "charge battery." it shows my zone but every time I hit a zone it freezes up and resets. . ideas? Thanks MJM
