Yes Peter..Setting timer functions with out having to be in the same room or even having to turn the system on was a boon,also you could turn off each unit of the 7000 if I remember!..I think also you could have the name of the radio station come up on the remote too. The one other thing which was great was being able to set a timer for video recording

Im hopeing this one will be sorted out of the box,I had two Bv7 MkIII's one the dvd failed and could not get the projector out to work as well (was not my Projector) And after being changed over for another set,all was well. So looking forward to this one very much as I loved my Blue Bv 7-40 MKIII.

I think the White Grill looks very nice and if I had a Bv 9 i'd do it but the Black does not show the front up like the White does.....but I think here the White is ment to GET NOTICED and focus you on the Bv 9 which I think it does! I love the pic of the Bv9 with the White Grill and if you look just above the speaker you can see edge of the screen
