what is the difference between beo5 and beo6
Well, on the "hardware-side" it is just a backchannel for showing covers of cds on your Beo6 in combination with Beosound 5. BUT what really thrills me is what will happen, once the protocol is "reverse-engineered"
For the Apple TV2 to work you need a HDMI with HDCP (thats the encryption for Bluray), I only found it on more expensive converters (around 400 EUR/USD). I am wondering, if this thing from china really does the trick - HDMI without HDCP is only another form of DVI, not to difficult. It seems to me, you need something that

You're going to be limited to the first gen Apple TV for several reasons. The Apple TV 2 requires HDMI, is only 720p (not 1080i), and uses HDCP. I actually prefer the first gen Apple TV in some respects. The menu layout makes your library more accessible (the new version buries your media library under a "computers" heading). Also, you

The old red for the Beolab 4000 was the darker red. The current red for the Beolab 4000 is the same, bright red as for the Beolab 9. You can special order the cover as a spare part from your dealer. Also do I need to do this prior to Barry's process or does that bypass this process? Once again many thanks for your great expertise and patience. It could be an issue of setting the resolution on the Apple TV to something your Avant will be able to display. I believe the default resolution on the Apple TV is 720p, which your Avant cannot display. There's a tricky key combination to make using the remote that came with the Apple TV to get the Apple TV to start cycling through the resolutions
I suppose so. I must confess that my keyring has now had a flat battery for 3 years and I have not bothered replacing it - it is just a nice key fob!
Indeed. I have the original model, which was horribly prone to running the battery down by having the buttons so easy to press while in one's pocket. The new

It would be so nice if B&O would make a new keyring with a micro-usb port that could be connected to one's computer to change the settings.
-
Perhaps another limited edition etched finish like B&O did with the BeoCom 2.

Reading the posts of Beoworlders who have done custom grills and finishes, I thought it would be interesting to start a thread about what colors people would like to see from B&O. Hopefully, someone from B&O might be reading this. I, for one, would love to see a copper BeoCom 2 for my kitchen, which has a lot of Mauviel copper cookware. I would
