  • Re: xbox 360 plays in black&white

Hi: Right OK, so your Xbox has a moulded scart connector that connects to the TV as opposed to phono plugs which plug into the scart convertor? Could you provide a pic of what you have One other thing, do you have anything else connected to the TV through the other scart namely Freeview/DVD/Cable? Thanks Graham

Hi: Are you connecting the xbox to the TV via a scart to composite convertor - ie. do you plug a scart adaptor into the scart socket of the television and then plug red, yellow and white connectors into this, which then runs to the xbox? If so, is this the one that was supplied with the xbox? I have had simillar problems, cannot remember why, but I

  • Re: Can the xbox 360 be controlled by the beo 4

I didn't know that - I was given my 360 with no manual but I don't know how that would work - do you just hold the X down for a while? There is def an infa-red bulb on the front of the machine though. What is a lintronic device - I only know of a light control system called a lintronic. Sorry if these are very basic questions. • Re: Televisions!

Hi: I own both an Avant VHS and a Beovision 1 and can attest to the quality of both. That said, I would strongly advise you against getting a bargain basement Avant VHS because once the tube goes you are going to be lumbered with moving a very heavy TV to the tip - I have moved mine twice and it was not a plesant experience. I have seen a Beovision

  • Avant now or later?

Hi: I have a '96 VHS Avant at home which I love. The VHS has broken but I have a spare which I haven't gotten around to fitting in. I would really like a 32" Avant DVD, but don't need it until the Avant I have currently breaks. I have been watching Ebay for the past couple of years looking at the prices of all variants of Avant and

  • Re: Every Day Design Classics.

I think it is a really good idea -addresses the problem at hand and makes the kitchen look less of a mess. Such a simple concept - take bottom out of cupboard, screw draining board in its place. Why it is not more popular in the UK I will never know.

Very mundane entry: In Europe (not often in the UK) they have cupboards above the kitchen sink with a draining rack as the base - you wash your dishes, and rack them in there and the excess water drips into the sink. You then put the plates away. Why do the British keep using draining boards? - there are always plates on display unless you keep on top

  • Re: Wow, Damage!!

Hi: I think that this is dodgy too but surely if they were stolen the damage would be an unrelated issue? What I mean is lets say I break into your house in an effort to steal a pair of these (I know nothing about stealing, this is just a guess as to what a burglar would do) I would try to be as quiet as possible so as not to alert you to my presence
