Have the same “problem” with my MX7000. The picture is a little dark and soft, but when I press menu, the picture moves slightly to the right, and switches to (the much brighter) composite. The same thing happens when I press AV-CD… Annoying…

Does your laptop have S-Video out? If so, you can just connect an S-video cable from that to your Avant! + a minijack - phono cable for the sound...

Men hvis du ser HER så ser du at du skal koble pin 4 til pin 2 for å lure Avanten til å tro at det er en Beolab 2 sub tilkoblet... Jeg aner ikke om det vil fungere hos deg, men kanskje? Ellers kommer det forhåpentligvis noen

The problem with using an old VCR is that it might not work, because of the Macrovision copy protection... When I hooked my DVD-player up to my old VCR, the picture got all scrambled, so I had to buy an RF-modulator... But I belive this doesn't affect all VCRs, just some...
