  • Re: Printing the website

Thank you guys - problem solved. The results: 1. Landscape - worked well in IE6, and didn't chop any images in half (as FireFox seems to do). 2. Portrait 60% - just covered less of the paper. Didn't include the missing bits of the images. 3. PDF - sadly, I don't have the facility to print to PDF. Anyway, thank you all once again. Mark

  • Printing the website

There are some excellent articles on the website, which I would love to print, and commit to my paper archives. However, I can't get them to print well. For example, if I print Martin's excellent thread at: http://forum.beoworld.org/forums/thread/78511.aspx then the photographs do not print completely. You can see this in Internet Explorer,

  • Re: ML to MCL connection - what do I need?

Thank you, guys. A couple of little follow ups - 1. are there any cable-length issues? 2. is it better to site the Converters near the MXs, or the Avant? Or does it not matter? Mark

  • ML to MCL connection - what do I need?

I've tried to solve this by looking at the online manuals, but I've come to the conclusion I need to ask for help. I'm sure I saw a manual which covered this some time ago, but I can't find it. I have an Avant VCR for the main room, and MX3500s for the slave (!!!) rooms. To connect them together, so the MXs can select sources via the

  • Re: Power surge

Small UPS' can be bought for under £50. When I worked in a computing services department, we used to buy these to protect our systems, as we'd found them a lot more beneficial (protective) than the alternatives. We regarded it as money well spent, as a minute's downtime could cause us the loss of a week's work. If you need no more

  • Re: Good-bye...

Eduard, Like the others, I am disappointed that you are leaving. If you want a new challenge, then consider the one you just raised yourself - if the same questions keep being asked, then a better FAQ system, or some other index is needed. Have you thought about developing such a system? Mark

  • Re: Power surge

Buy an Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS). A short break in the supply can be enough to mess up the memory, but not enough to cause the processor to reset, hence the problem. Mark

  • Re: Your thoughts please!

Eduard, I am glad you have not left the site, since I've always found your posts helpful (or at least interesting!). Please remember that it is only by keeping people with differing views on the site, that it can remain balanced - in other words, if your comments are accurate, then your presence is necessary. Regarding prizes - I took a gold membership

  • Re: Avant model numbers

    I'm afraid that I still haven't managed to figure out - what's the difference between mk1, mk2 and mk3 32" Avants? Mark
