• Re: rattling Beo5

Thanks for the replies. My Beo5 is a little old for replacement and when I noticed that the dealer's suffered from similar symptoms I figured it was somewhat status quo. I did however manage to remedy the problem quite easily. The clicking/squeeking originates from the plastic shell surrounding the back part of the screen where the two halves snap

  • rattling Beo5

It appears that the glass screen assembly and the rear cover of my Beo5 have a bit more play than they should. This results in annoying clicks, pops and rattles while handling the unit. I'm assuming that this is simply an assembly tolerance issue. I know that some have complained about the "cheap" feel of the beo5, while others have countered

  • BS3 ATSC tuner channel display

Since my last software update the BS3 cleverly displays the channel changes of the built in ATSC tuner the same way it shows volume changes. Very cool! What is not very cool is that the built-in tuner still displays the channel at the same time. Now I've got two channel identifiers (which looks very bad) with no apparent way to disable either one

  • Re: BeoVision/BeoSound/BeoLab masterlink question
Out of curiosity what option is the BS4 in and the Bv4 etc?
I am doing option 0 on the BS4.
but the sound quality is dramatically lower quality from the TV's pre-amp. Loss of sound stage and detail. :(
I didn't know about the loss of quality although I can certainly understand

  • Re: BeoVision/BeoSound/BeoLab masterlink question

This should also work the other way from which Dave mentioned. I've got my Beosound 4 in the same room with the BS3/BV4. The Beosound 4 has no speakers attached but you wouldn't know it because it functions normally through the BS3 ( The master in the ML setup) which routes CD/A.mem/etc. to the speakers appropriately. This is especially cool

  • Re: Old photography - in high resolution

Thanks Tornedos! I'm working on a commercial project right now that requires creating fictitious historical photographs. I was desperately in need of good reference material. Amazing stuff!

  • Re: Bang&Olufsen & OLED technology
I believe we will have to wait for any manufacturer to build a practical OLED tv first...
I've used, and mr_anders_son has owned an OLED tv for quite some time... Of course it cost $35,000 and only has a 2.2inch screen. But it does come with a neat built-in camera. Link

  • Re: Shirts
Sabrina, my wife, bought me a PS shirt
Tom! Didn't she just buy you a watch too? You must be doing something right! I agree with Jeff about the higher end Brooks Brothers. May not be as flashy as some but they are the staple of the classic dress shirt. Most importantly most all of their styles are extremely consistant

  • Re: BeoCenter 2 with Blueray

Obviously, with the latest BV7-40, with Blue-Ray, the TV comes with an Ethernet connection, so video streaming is not far..
That's not for 'video streaming', that's for connecting up to Blu-ray live services, via your existing wired Internet connection. [

  • Re: Can you ceiling mount Beolab 3 ?

It is possible, but I seem to remember this being brought up a while back (anyone else recall this?) and the thought was that it wouldn't be recommended for optimal ALT performance due to the way it disperses.
