Hi Ralf, From memory, I think Earset 3 has a 2.5mm stereo TRS plug fitted, whereas Apple products use a 3.5mm plug. Hence, you will need an adapter to convert this. This is fairly simple and I'm just awaiting the parts to produce one for another customer at the moment. The complication comes if you want to use a 1st generation iPhone, as this has

Hi Richard, Welcome to the forum! I would never dare argue with Keith (I am sure he will be proven to be correct!), but I have seen a similar problem recently. In some circumstances, Beolab 4000, 6000 and 8000 speakers that are set to "Left" or "Right" instead of "Line" will still switch on from standby when a signal is

Good call Lee, There are so many cable options available for Powerlink that it should rarely be necessary to join cables together on site. I would suggest completely disconnecting the existing cabling (from both BS9000 and the speakers) and then trying one speaker at a time with a new, good quality cable. I will be surprised if this doesn't solve

Hi patroclos, You only need a five pin DIN plug, as the other two pins are for signalling to other B&O products. I wonder if your cable is faulty? Assuming that the sound was turned up on your PC soundcard (usually about 75%), then you should get loud clear sound with a good cable. Let me know if you need a replacement cable! Best regards, Steve

Hi Guy, My usual advice with power cords is: "Don't solder them!" The high voltages involved mean that you need to be certain of a good connection and suitable insulation to avoid the risk of fire or electric shock. Replacement power cords are readily available (Admittedly, I am biased here, because I sell them!) and the safest option

Glad you've found a cable, jackdaniels413. By the way, thanks for the mention Chris! For any other Beosound 1 owners wanting to connect an iPod/MP3 player to the Aux socket, it is worth noting that you need to press the two arrow keys either side of the <CD> button simultaneously to activate the Aux input. And yes, I can help if you need a

Hi patroclos, Many MP3 players (including most Apple iPod models) have volume limiters built in to prevent the manufacturers being sued by customers who deafen themselves...... However, this does mean that the players will often fail to give sufficient output when connected to a home audio system, as they will not provide the voltage that the audio

Hi everyone, I'm looking for a good pair of Beolab 200 amplifiers (the ones that were also used as the base in the Pentalab 2/3) for my ever-growing home collection. These need to have Powerlink inputs, so I'm looking for the later Beolab 200, not the older Beolab 150 models. I'm based in the UK and I'm happy to pay for shipping. Cash

Thanks Guys! I will try to incorporate as many as possible of your comments and suggestions and I will let you know once I have the finished article ready for you to try out! Best regards, Steve.

Thanks for the recommendation Simon! Yes, I can help with these cables. To select the "Aux Input" on BeoSound 1, don't forget to press the two arrow keys either side of the < CD > marker together and the unit will switch to the Aux Input. Please feel free to ask if you need any assistance. Best regards, Steve.
