Yeah, the BeoCom 5000 was never sold in the US, so that will be a tough one to get. Perhaps one of our friends from across the Pond might be able to help. Even so, be prepared to be disappointed, the Retail System lists the battery as an 'expired' part.

Are you asking about getting more than one channel ofsound out of the BS-3, or how to set up a second video monitor?

I agree that you'll need something to bring the Bass guitar up to line-level...but it's a low hurdle to get over. Any guitar/music/pro-sound shop will be able to help...and for that matter just about any computer store/Apple store will have what you need. Should be no real trouble. 4-, 5-, or 6-string?

JK has it correct. The introduction of the non-DVD 7, and the really low price on it, was used to clear existing inventories of the 50/60hz panels. That has now been accomplished. Any BV-7 40 which you ORDER today will be produced with the 100/120 hz panel. There is, as of yet, no such thing as a MK 5.

As far as Picture Quality this is a good place to start looking: http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=858316

Hi Martin, Answers, in order: Assuming it works, then you'll do so with some difficulty. Not by themselves, no. You are correct. Right. Other than making the system terribly hard to manage, no. I think you are seeing the scope of the challenge. ### In all honesty, I don't think that it will be worth the trouble. I admit that the "Gee Whiz

No, no...I understod the problem. My explanation of a possible solution was not clear enough. I was suggesting that you remove the PowerLink cables, and replace them with Line/RCA cables from the BV-7 to the 5's using the DIN-RCA adaptor (627302), and then program the 5's as if they were in a non-B&O set-up. I am not sure that will work

I do not wish to hi-jack the thread...but let me roll back over something here. Dude1's liberties with the nomenclature can be, and have been, seen as amusing, annoying, even innovative. But I answer the phone at work a lot, and there are enough B&O owners out there (and I expect here) who aren't even certain what the name of the product

While I will agree that the product line is globalizing over time, and one day the North American forum may be relegated to answering questions strictly concerning older equipment, we aren't there yet. At the moment, even the intentionally global BeoSystem 3 chassis is listed as having 2 distinctly different socket panels available as spare parts
