Please educate me as I would have thought that the only difference between the BV7 32" vs 40" would be the screen size, but you state there is a connectivity difference... can you elaborate? -Sal

Thanks Russ and Roger for your responses.. I am curious about the US BV7 White L"C"D display, is it as bright and vibrant as the red LED akin to that of the Beosouns 9000? To Roger... I WISH I was in the salary bracket to be able to afford a BV 5/9... Besides, my place is way to small for a behemoth like a BV 9 or 5. I am definitely in the

It would be absolutely wonderful if the inbuilt module can give IR control from maybe a source menu... If so, I think I have got a spare Lintronic on my hands! LOL -Sal

Roger, Definitely so. If I pressed CD on the Beo4, when the TV was off, the Avant display indeed showed something like "CD2 4," in it's red LED display. It was a really cool feature. If the TV was on, and I pressed CD, the TV screen would turn off, and the red LED display would show the source information for the BS9000 as above. Additionally

Ignace, thanks for the correction, Maybe the 32" is $4000 that was once mentioned a while ago on the other BV8 thread. I won't assume that the "modules' for the EU versions of the televisions will be available as such here in the States. B & O has had a distinct single package approach to video devices here in the states, same

Hi all, I used to own an Avant, and it had an external LED display, so when masterlinked to a Beosound 9000 (or other B & O audio system), it would display the source, track, and volume information on the small discrete LED display on the right top of the screen. Since I have never seen (more likely, played with) BV5 or BV9 at dealers, for those

A friend of mine relayed a conversation he had a dealer here in the States and noted that the base price for a BV8 (assuming it's the smaller version 32") would be $3500. Anyone have any more details on US Specs / availability as well as any special options for the US version? I'm hoping it'll have a masterlink port, as well as having

For what it's worth, my MKIII also cannot read CD-RWs... It has never been able to read them. CD-R's are completely fine, though. -Sal

GuyHui, Welcome to the club... of Mac ownership, that is. My father got me into Apple, as he was a fine artist who had to "relearn" his "old world" ways to compete in a new environment. He started with the old Apple beige boxes, believe me, you'll quickly come to love your iMac. -Sal

I'm going to hold off for as long as possible. I absolutely LOVE my G5, and I have heard that Leopard is slightly slower on nonIntel Machines even though it's universal. As others have said I'll wait a few months before considering it. From what I have read there's not much to speak about when talking about under the hood improvements
