I only had 1 gold Maxel type II which got identified as another type when inserted into the Beocord. Even though the auto calibration does the job very well the end result sounds best when you manualy select the right tape type. From the manual: The 5 steps of the auto calibration. 1. Bias left channel 2. Bias right channel 3. Recording equalizing,

Congratz on your Beogram 8002! Mine here pictured about 2 years ago I think. It came from alot of a BM6000 and BC8000. Been in a garage and never got around to use it. It was troublesome from day 1. The arm moved a bit but got stuck. The alu lid were loose and I needed a pickup. After an atempt at skating over a record I finally took it to Dillen. For

It might be. The 1610 kit is for use with other audio than the MPAV9000. If the ML cable is special witch this thread proves it is then its the solution to the problem. Maybe a contact to seller for a upclose picture of the ML cabel should be done?

Despite being one of the few BM8000 yet to have its first service my wite editon plays wonderfully. At present CDX plays a Thin Lizzy cd called Wild One.

The tape end does work great when recording on Beocord 9000. Do you really need it on playback anyway? The difference in sound between BM6000 and BM8000 is not noticeable as far as day and night. Funny enough I got a Danish review with the headline: Its better than its big brother! The BM8000 has many specially made elements so its not actually a big

Great setup. The original tape should be a TDK MA-R as I understand it. I had my Beocord 9000 since 2003 and I do love how it sounds. A few years ago I discovered how good it records and it works very well with TDK MA-XG tapes. I did not get a calibration tape or manual with mine but I did locate a manual a few weeks ago. Could a new calibration tape

Its funny because my Beomaster 6500 has started doing the same. The day before I was muting a cd for longer but it worked fine when I finally did unmute it. The next day nothing in the Beovox S80.2 or MCL link room but on the aux through the AV9000 I have sound. I have never used the headphone socket in the year of using it.

If you can't do TV repairs and its going to a B&O service center then let them handle it. Otherwise congratz to Peter! As long as they work they are really a great Beovision to have. Picture tube allready changed? Well its going to last for a long while to come. Mine was DOA and cheap. The powersupply is the most common fault.

White Beomaster 8000 and CDX + Beovox M150 speakers. Just going through the Gasolin' boxset which came out a few years ago. At the time of writing studio album number 6.

I got 3 main types which I like for various reasons. 1: Beomaster 8000 When in order its a classic powerfull sounding beast! The cons is service is complicated, the weight and to wide for placement. To early for the general linking but thats nothing I will see as a fault as it came in later years in future develoments from B&O. 2: Beomaster 6000
