Hi nmartin, Diagram 2 is the better setup in my opinion, using the TV as the master. I would however plug the iPod into the AUX of the BS2300 so then the two audio sources are kept together. You will also have the bonus of Speaker 3 mode (left, right and centre speaker) if you wish while watching a movie. This wouldn't be possible from diagram 1

My recommendation is certainly BeoCom 6000 if you are thinking about using more than one handset. Hi BeoBkk, My dealer charged £50 for a new battery for my BeoSound 2 and a new USB cable for the docking station as I had damaged mine accidentally. I was expecting to pay more, so well worth it if you are still using your BeoSound 2 on a regular basis in my opinion. It's also a good chance to see what's under the two aluminium covers
