power down the tv for a few mins and then re-apply power when you start up make sure you select tv in case it needs the pin number i just to have no end of trouble with my tv when the power had been out for a while and on the old software you had to select tv as the other sources never asked for the pin and this then made the screen work but no STB

that sounds like it would be good news i am thinking of putting some pipe in the wall to my media cabinet which will be located a little further away, maybe some waste water pipe like you have under the sink in the UK. A few peices of spare washing line should help if i need to add new cables in a years time as long as there is not to many 90 degree
