Yes, and yes. And it doesn't light up red or green.

Hi all, I have a BL4000 speaker that does nothing when I try to power it on. No red, no green. Before I ship it off to the repair center I'd like to check the fuse. I know how to remove the front aluminum plate (unscrew the 3 screws) but how much further do I have to go to get at the fuse. And is there one fuse or several? The service manual isn't

Why did the SMMC-4 sound distorted? Did you damage it?

Soundsmith strikes me as being very expensive. I use Atlantic Systems in Hanover, MA. They're the authorized B&O service center in the Northeast. Ask for Paul Tilden - he'll likely give you a repair quote over the phone.

Based on this search it appears they've got 4 Beograms in their collection. But as a frequent visitor, all I've ever seen on display is the BG 4000.

Yes, right down to the antenna. The similarity struck me the first time I saw the BS3 in person.

Just do a search on eBay for "turntable isolation feet" and you'll find products such as this . A better solution might be to place a folded towel under the Beocenter but this might well interfere with air circulation and cause overheating.
