Does someone know which episode it was when they visited France and drove over the Millau bridge? You just wrote an interesting about Airplay and B&O... While the "normal" solution is to plug an Airport Express to the Beosound 8, it's totally not satisfying, as the Airport Express DAC is really poor. But your solution allows to wirelessly transmit the sound in full digital and lossless from a computer to the Beosound 8 DAC ! Ok

HD Tracks, Linn or B&W are selling sh** when they sell you HD files. Beware! http://itrax.com/Pages/ArticleDetails.php?aID=32 I only bought HD files via qobuz.com (sorry, a French site!), and it seems that this site is more serious and does not do this kind of tweek. And for all those who want to test some good HD tracks (try them in a BS5!), here
What I would like to do is control the Encore with my iPad, is that possible?
If the Encore acts as a "simple" DLNA renderer, it should be possible. But it has to be confirmed by an Encore owner/seller. The current problem is that no app will give you a user experience close to what B&O can

There is a huge difference between using Apple retail system and developing a product with them. You can dream if you want, but as I own a lot of Apple products and understand their strategy, I'm not dreaming of that (ie : base ALL digital content on Apple stores, don't be compatible with Blu Rays, DLNA or other "industry-standards"

Here you have the full presentation from this morning : http://storm.zoomvisionmamato.com/player/bang_olufsen/objects/0fh6c8v1/ Note the 30th slide : IMMEDIATE END OF BEOSOUND 9000 + BEOSOUND 3200

Why searching to tweak the Time Capsule and not replacing it by a full featured NAS, which will do everything the TC does, and add DLNA compatibility?
Compared mine last night and they seemed pretty much the same - both cable thickness and sound. My A8s are recent ones though.
I think that the update doesn't only impact the Earset 3i, and there was a "silent update" of everything with that kind of design (i.e. All earsets and A8's)

Maybe because it's still a very basic black plastic cable... Or maybe because they have no idea of the fact that their Chinese factory has changed the product without noticing anything! ;-)
