• Re: Beo1 can be easily converted into a iMac remote

My method was a little wreckless, i had nothing to lose really... both beo1 and mac remote were sitting in cupboard unused. I fiddled with the mac remote for a while to understand the physics of it. I decided to be brutal and pull off the IR cover, take out the battery slide and then tear the white plastic casing carefully away from the grey innards

  • Beo1 can be easily converted into a iMac remote

The title says it all, all i had to do was swap the innards of the imac remote with the Beo1's, and voila, the buttons <<, >ll, >>, MENU all work and it's great, cost me nothing but an hour of my time :D Now my mac can act sort of like a BeoSound5, i can use front row, or simply scroll through the tracks, or wake / sleep the iMac

  • Re: What rear speakers would you suggest?
The 1s are wonderful as rears but I do not like having blue 9s with red 1s. Also, I want to move the 1s to another room in our house as fronts. That's why we are trying different new speakers for the rears.
Have you considered wall mounting 4000's? they'd be at a great height and have a powerful sound

  • Re: What rear speakers would you suggest?
Any ideas on cost of this? Is it possible? Would the blue the BL1s came in still be available and if so how close to the current blue is it?
Your Bang & Olufsen dealer will tell you how much the parts will cost and their availablity, and if you're handy / practical, you can easily do it yourself >

  • Re: Lower a BeoVision 10-40 on motorised base
Still prefer the "close to the floor" look - purposeful, rather than on a genric "TV stand".
Precisely. Close to the floor (judging only by the photo) gives it a stately prescence, it looks cheap / flimsy imho, on its standard stand. Lets make it happen, it should at least be an option..
In the market for the BeoVision 10-40, however I don't like the way the TV sits 10cm high on the base. it just looks wrong Does anyone know how easy it would be to shorten or lower the pole so the TV sits just suspended off the base, just as the gorgeous BeoVision 5 did. I've photoshopped how I think it should

  • Re: What's missing in your equipment?
Frankly, everything should be optical in this day and age but the BS4 was the first "modern" device and... where's the optical input?
Amen to that! There's not really an excuse, it wouldn't cost them much, would it?? It costs us alot compensating for it though. I'd like to add, i'd
