I just bought one second hand (100 eur) and I believe the software version is 2.1 (how can I check?). I would like to connect it to my BV6 which allready has a DVD1 and a STB (Rebox 1150) connected. I understood youy need a certain software level to be able to connect the STB behind the V8000.

Can anybody tell me how the software for a V8000 is upgraded and what the costs are if a dealer does the job?

USB 1.1? dat is toch echt (veel) te traag voor het laden van 4Gb aan muziek. Elk apparaat wat nieuw wordt uitgebracht is nu toch echt wel USB 2.0. Ik hou het maar bij mijn iPod 80Gb en wellicht een keer de iPod Touch. Uiteraard met A8!

The types have always been a puzzle to me. I have a type 4620 which van play MP3 cd's (Philips interface), but I have allways been led to believe that only type 4621 can play MP3.

Ik meen me te herinneren dat de STB van KPN samsungs zijn. Als je een Motorola of Rebox selecteerd werkt het.

I asked about this at my dealer some time ago as I would like to fit a beocenter 6 grill to my beovision 6 (the cloth goes dirty to easily I think). He told me the mechanism on the BC6 was a sliding one as opposied to de BV6 where you push the grill on.

You could download the free program from Microsoft named Virtual PC 2007. This allows you to boot a XP session under Vista 64bit. I assume Beoport will run in this session. http://www.microsoft.com/windows/products/winfamily/virtualpc/default.mspx
