SCART is truly an exotic beast in the U.S. I wasn't aware of the presence of SCART on any current B&O products. But it was used by the U.S. MX when they were available here. I would not expect however, for the BV8 to have SCART. No B&O TV has had this connection since the MX that I'm aware of.

You may want to try these guys. I don't know about parts, but they provide very good service. http://www.atlantic-systems.com/

I'm wondering how this TV Masterlinks into a system that has an Avant and a BS 3000 in separate rooms? Clearly the U.S. Avant does not have the modulator for video distribution (not interested in this any way). I'm sure the BV8 will be able to be able to play sources from the 3000, but will it be a problem with the Avant on the same ML network

I have the 8000s and two pairs of 6000s. With my Avant I had the obvious setup: 8000 from and 6000s in the rear. I've since replaced the rears with 4000s. Now I have a pair of 6000s in the study, and another in the living room. The 6000s are wonderful speakers if you don't have the 8000s; however, I don't believe these should be compared

Sounds like the add-on module might be specific to the U.S. and include an IR control system for US-spec STBs like Tivo etc. Sal, if it is $3500 that would be great. I can't wait to hear the official announcement.

Got mine today. Thanks B&O Tysons!

After a 3 week absence from Beoworld, this is great news! April 15th is my magic day.

Wouldn't it be interesting if we could arrange some kind of an audio meeting with Lee using something like a Skypecast? Technically it's easy, however, it does take us all away from the asynchronous nature of the Forum. Still for something like this I think it would be interesting.

Well, in fact Lintronic does sell x-10 which uses your existing home wiring. No additional anything required other than very discreet plug in modules or easy to install replacements for you wall switches. Again, it is specifically designed to use the existing electrical system of the house. You don't even have to purchase the x-10 modules from Lintronic

A number of potential technical issues aside, I too think you are better off with 4000s. I have and like the 3500, but it is a bit anemic for your desired purpose.
