First I want to thank Keith for providing such profound information here to us. I am using Beo5 and the config tool for about two moths. There are several situations, where I was forced to modify the confguration file manually due to limitations of the config tool. Sorry I missunderstood. I think there is no way to change the selection and your assumption is right. But I definitly would suggest to add a center speaker.

Active sound system shows the sound format beeing delivered from the source. Obviously your source is playing dolby 3. To change this information you have to reconfigure your source, not the BS1.

I Think you have to go into the system menu: Menu, highlight setup, 0-0-go then activate plasma panel setup There you should find the assignment of the connector used for HD input. In your config it is set to decoder at the moment, I think. So change it to VTape or AV After this adapt the settings in the connection menu as discussed earlier.
