If so, you will get nothing by adding a rear center unless you have a gigantic room. Also, there are few Blu-rays that take advantage of a 7.1 setup. I use my BS1 for audio switching only. I have the VGA out connected to my TV (it has a VGA input but I can't imagine the converter would be a problem) for menu access only. The BS1 only has one hi-def input so you will be very limited there. It is a very good albeit big audio switcher. The BS2 is not an upgrade and you won't find it in the USA
