Yes the aluminium panels are all replaceable. Self adhesive and a bit of a git to get the old ones off. Come as a complete set which B&O call a "foil". A replacement cd mech is not very expensive. Around £100 if I recall. There is a CD test section in the service manual. Have you run through that?

I have 8 CX woofers, all with foam rot. Free to a good home! Collect from Ely, Cambs or will courier at cost within the UK Anyone?

Clean the laser lens with a cotton bud damped in isopropanol, leave a couple of minutes to dry and see what happens then. The cd wont spin unless the mech can find focus.

You are correct, you cannot have two audio masters in the same system.

I suggest that the rubber belt on the record deck has stretched with age and needs replacing. Your dealer can still order these for you or you could try member Dillen on this forum.

I can say that I have converted a couple of US 4000's to 220v and the radios worked fine in the UK???
