• Re: How can I turn on Penta 3 LCD display with Beosound 9000 MK1?

...and the A/V switch on the speakers needs to be set to "audio". Not a likely problem, but if the previous owner didn't have the correct cables for the displays to work, he might not have paid attention to the switches either.

  • Re: Will my Beomaster 4400 work with Beolab Penta 2 Speakers?

The most sensible way to get these together would be to remove the amps from the Pentas (easy, as what will be left will be a pair of passive Pentas with now useless display modules inside). You could probably also attach the Speakerlink inputs of the Pentas to the 4400 outputs, or use attenuated phono speaker adapters connected to the line inputs on

  • Re: Mirror touch panel BL7000

Well I guess the metal layers that make the contact to the crystal material could somehow be damaged by heat so that the piezo won't work anymore... certainly worth trying. You don't have to attach the new piezo element to the faceplate to try it, it should work simply by soldering it in place of the old one and tapping it.
Jut saw that my post has been degraded from 5 to 3,5 stars. So it looks that everybody can rate a post even without giving any comments on this post? That's pretty annoying...
Well, why not? Of course you can say whether you like a thread or not without posting anything on it. But my suggestion is to just

  • Re: beomasster 2000 ( opening)

Excellent work This is one of my favourite Beomasters, great looks (albeit a bit of space consuming...) and great performance in the same package. There wasn't much talk on these when I got mine, but it seems to have gotten a following in the recent times! Here's an old arrival picture of mine in case somebody is still wondering what we are

  • Re: Testing a Beomic 2000

The pinout is incorrect (so you will only get signal to the left channel, possibly not even there) and in addition, the signal level from a dynamic mic is so low that you probably wouldn't hear anything from a line level AUX input anyway. If you don't have a microphone preamp or any Beocord with a proper mic input, I guess the best you can do

  • Re: Isn't it a pity...

The Dutch forum seems pretty clear to me - just begin with "Ik heb een" and then continue in gibberish Google is getting better by the day but still makes a lot of silly mistakes. I don't trust it alone, but it is helpful when you'd otherwise need to reach for the ol' paperback dictionary...

  • Re: It is possible to destroy a Beolink 1000

Stepped on perhaps? I have a Beo4 which has the "nose" clearly bent up. But not even the display is broken!
