Well I guess the metal layers that make the contact to the crystal material could somehow be damaged by heat so that the piezo won't work anymore... certainly worth trying. You don't have to attach the new piezo element to the faceplate to try it, it should work simply by soldering it in place of the old one and tapping it.

The pinout is incorrect (so you will only get signal to the left channel, possibly not even there) and in addition, the signal level from a dynamic mic is so low that you probably wouldn't hear anything from a line level AUX input anyway.
