I don't think that's what the OP is referring to, rather a naturally dark image on the BV7. I personally like the image on the BeoVision 7s, very natural IMO. I guess it's all personal preference...

The speakers will work with any kind of amplifier. If you want great sound without spending silly money, NAD is your best bet, or Rotel. You can use your computer as a CD player, however remember that when you read/play a CD on your Mac, it's much noisier than doing it on a normal CD player. I think that B&O need's to focus more on the sound in their future line up, rather than the look couse that's something they already have!
