  • Re: Beovision 7 verses 9

Delivery and set up is not included...would have to pay for that. Other than that only catch is that it is 720P. Same dealer has sold me Beolab 4000s at about 60% off and a pair of Beolab 9s that had been on display for a month at 40% off.

Yes that is exactly what I am saying! Same dealer sold us a pair of Beolab 9s at a 40% discount that had been on the showroom floor for a month!

Also, I think the market/demand for B and O in the USA may be different than in Europe and elsewhere.

Yes we have been very lucky happening to visit the store on the right day. But, the fact that it is only 720p is keeping from saying yes so far.

It has only been on the showroom floor for three months. In June I purchased a pair of Beolab 9s from the same dealer at a 40% discount that had been on the floor for one month. They were connected to a Beovision 9 that was subsequently replaced with the one I am now looking at which includes the Beomedia 1.

Joe, when you say it is not cost effective to replace the panel and the difference between 720p and 1080p is difficult to see, could I ask the following: A dealer has offered me a three month old Beovision 9 at a 60% discount that is 720P. I was thinking of purchasing it with the thought that the price is good enough that perhaps in a few years when

Sorry Petz for delay in answering your question. Dealer is offering us a 60% discount on the Beovision.

Are you saying it is in fact possible to replace the panel?

Thanks for the input. The speaker issue does not really matter between the two as the TV will be connected to a pair of Beolab 9s as fronts and Beolab 1s as rears. Another question, any views or thoughts on the 9s angled stance, i.e. having the picture not vertical as every other TV in the world? Thanks!

  • Beovision 7 verses 9

My wife and I went TV shopping today. Anybody have any thoughts on the following: Ignoring price, which would be a better choice, a new Beovision 7 1080P or a Beovision 9 that has been on the dealer's floor for 3 months, has the 720 P screen and the Beomedia? The 9 is being offered with a discount due to it being a demo. Thanks for any thoughts
