I agree ... that is the sort of clearly announced strategy and execution of it that I think is needed. By contrast one can look at the agony of Microsoft's Windows family (and what a dysfunctional family that is!) and IBM's OS/2. For any one interested in lessons on how not to develop software and how not to have partnerships take a look at

Hi Cliff, firstly, next time you are in Melbourne you are welcome to visit Susan and myself and we can show you our setup. Secondly, I will look at DivX as I suspect it may be more efficient than the packages I have been using. So far I have used Handbrake and MakeMKV . MakeMKV lets me easily capture DVDs that have multiple titles, e.g. movies with
I think B&O has a VERY big challenge here, what do you think?
Overnight I have given this question more thought. The key challenge that B&O management face is to carefully define their "core competencies" and the market and market segments they want to pursue and therefore invest in. In the past
I was unaware that iTunes even had a screensaver, what a world! I'm guessing that's just a Mac thing
Yes ... it is a desktop setting ( currently mine if set to "never" because of my use/testing of LinkPlayer )

Does it happen when you have put LinkPlayer in Standby mode (see below)? Mine will go to sleep (when I close the MacBook lid) when I head for bed, but sometimes/often it will wake-up later (as reported by younger members of the herd since they tend to use the BV8 well after midnight) - but I am not sure if that is LinkPlayer, or the interaction with
