Never heard that BC9500 could do it (and still don't believe it...). But, you are right that BM6500 shouldn't be able to do that. Somebody must have upgraded it - needs the separate RDS module, and at least the 7000 software or the complete CPU module, and little hacks on the tuner board or that upgraded as well. Or, it could be some other mix

I had a BC2800 (same receiver with a turntable) and it did indeed sound nice. The amp is a rather simple design, but apparently well done - similar to BM4400 actually!

I have never heard either M70's or BL3's so I must be well qualified to ponder on that decision... I am quite happy with my Beomaster 6500 driving passive Pentas and I have tried them with a 4400 as well. I don't quite buy that theory about needing a "large" amp to drive "large" passive speakers. The real question is

Beautiful! And there never was a question about the quality of the content I do find something I miss, though - you can't see the entire product family on a single page any more, you have to click into each single product to see the info. And I thouroughly hate the pop-up "zoom" boxes for product images, but it seems to be the rage nowadays
