How well does the Serene work in the US with AT&T/Cingular? Thanks!
-
Any opinions on using the Serene with AT&T/Cingular in the US? Does its Tri band provide sufficient coverage? Thanks!

I disagree with the comment that the A4, A6, and A8 are five year old cars/designs. The current A8 was not released until 2004 replacing a completely different 2003 and earlier car. Since that time it has received a new front end. As for the A6 the previous generation A6 was manufactured through 2004. The 2005 A6 and forward is an entirely new and different

I found a web page, which of course I can not find again now, that indicated the Beovision 9 had a standars contrast of 3000:1 with a maximum contrast of 10,000:1?

I agree with you regarding Audis. We live in the USA so we do not get to enjoy the cars with our speed limits as you do in Germany. However, we have had 1999, 2001,2002 and 2 2003 Audis. I also had a 2004 Volkswagen Phaeton which I just replaced with a 2007 Audi. I have looked at BMW and Mercedes and find nothing desirable about them when compared to

Thanks for the input. All very good points. We did play with color/contrast settings a little and had them set in the middle or just above. Also, I am not sure from your post if you were referring to the BV9 being priced at 60% of normal price or 60% off. To clarify it is a 60% discount. I can buy for 40% of the list price. List price is $22,900. Sale

In some ways I prefer the 7 and in some ways the 9 with 720p. In some scenes I could see more background detail in dark areas on the 7 than the 9. However, in some ways the 9 appeared to have a more natural appearance to the colors. Unfortunately the dealer is 3 hours away. I want to spend some more time watching both before spending such a large sum

No, we are waiting for the Beovision 9 with 1080p to compare to the Beovision 7. Then will make final decision on size.

I know everybody will think we are crazy but we decided to not get the Beovision 9. We had some concerns about the size perhaps being too big and even at the discount it is a large some to spend without being certain. With regards to a couple of comments that the store must need money or will not be around long I can assure you that is not the case

I think the Beolab 8000s as rears make perfect sense. We recently replaced the 1s we had in front with 9s. The 1s were moved to the rear to replace the 6000s we had there before. The improvement when listening to movies was incredible. It sounds silly and like overkill but listening to it quickly proves otherwise.
