I agree with Peter re:- getting them refoamed & the capacitors replaced. Replacement units are impossible to match with the originals, Reconelab are in Huddersfield. Chris.

I voted Beocom 6000, perfect in every way. I had a Beocom 2 but hated the ring tone & SWMBO couldn't get used to the keypad layout. Chris.

MS150's are often touted as being the best passive speakers ever built by B&O and are the recommended ones for the Beomaster 8000. Most will now require refoaming of the Bass & Midrange drivers though if not already done. They tend to be quite expensive even in poor condition. The good news is it isn't serious. Dry solder joint sounds favourite to me, maybe it would be worth replacing the capacitors while your at it? I did this with some MC120.2s and the improvement was very noticable. Chris.

Nice inheritence I wouldn't pay to much attention to the low usage as time itself will have had a detrimental affect on certain components. These are mainly the electrolytical capacitors & the tacho disc. If you're lucky yours will have the later metal tacho disc and not the early cellophane one which will undoubtedly need replacing soon

I will echo Lee's thoughts here, having attended one of King Streets events myself I can only say they are the most welcoming & hospitable dealer I have ever had the good fortune to meet.
