Maybe the motor spinning the disc has failed? Isn't the B&O CD mechanisms philips? So that shouldn't be a problem to fix.

I'm afraid that the lab 6000 are a bit too much about appearance and a bit too less about sound quality. Stylish, but sadly not very good. The lab 8000 are in my opinion pretty good.

Well I don't have any video components at all at the moment. BTW is the software upgradable? Looks sure like the 1.3 SW is a very old one.
