  • Re: Lifelong Pursuit of the perfect Hi-fi

Highlights exactly why I like B&O. No endless upgrade spirals and it still sounds pretty fantastic if you choose the right bits...

  • Re: Watch TV/Sky on MacBook

I too can vouch for the EyeTV. Don't have one, but I've seen them in action numerous times and they're fantastic! Even allow you to record the programs etc... I've never seen the Slingboxes in action, but I've heard good things although I expect the EyeTV will be easier/quicker/simpler/cheaper to set up and get going...

Glad I helped. I'm listening to mine right now...

  • Re: Apple Airport Express

This will help . iPods and AirPort Expresses all have what's called a 'minijack' connection, what you see on the end of earphone cables etc. The plug you see on the other end of the cable is what's called a '5-pin DIN' due to the number of pins you see inside the plug itself. This plugs into the connection on your BeoSound 9000 near where the power

  • Re: b&o workingon new tetevision based on windows

B&O really should look at Linux distributions instead of Windows. Cheaper, more stable, far FAR more flexible and more multi-platform capable...

  • Re: Opinions Wanted - My System Design

Haven't heard the BeoVox 1s yet, so I wouldn't be able to say anything about the link rooms. However, what I would say about the BeoSystem 1 is that you should try and get a BeoSystem 3 instead. There is an absolute world of difference between the two. Also, RE the BeoSound 9000/BeoLab 8000 combo mentioned earlier on, I'd rather have the BeoSound 4

  • Re: apple TV?

I've got one at the moment, just set it up this evening. My first impressions are that the video and photo side of things are very good. Videos are fantastic when they work, but often they don't as it's very limited when it comes to video formats. If only they would expand the types of videos it works with, it could be so much better. I still think

  • Re: i miss b&o products

The only thing that matters in terms of picture quality is how it looks to your eye, it could have all the stats/features in the world (such as the Sony TVs, which have very good specs generally, but don't perform particularly well). The only way I'd say B&O aren't embracing new technology as well as they could with TVs is in terms of HD connections

  • Re: I wish B&O would get it right from the beginning!

I see what you're saying, but if I was spending anything over £300/400 on a TV, I wouldn't even look at reviews, but actually get out there and see the thing for myself...

  • Re: BeoMedia One

I don't use BeoPlayer, I use iTunes instead. All the stations I listen to are at 128k, which sound considerably better than any DAB station I've heard. I still am not sure what you mean by DAB over BeoPort? Do you mean listening to a DAB radio (such as from a BeoSound 4) through your BeoPort over BeoLink?
