  • Re: Latest B&O Offer

Good point. They were only running that 4-year deal recently to encourage sales. Now they've upped it to 5-years. My TV was included in the 4-year warranty plan. Edge of your seat? Apart from the Beosound 5, there are few other exciting products planned short-term. Mind you, there is a staggering £1000 discount for choosing a DVD-free BV7

  • Re: B&O professional audiophile equipment or not....

I also agree. I had a conversation with someone about this today. The BL5, BL9 and BL3's are products which ought to be separated from the rest of the range. What I mean is that the perception of an average potential B&O customer is that the products only work together - you couldn't connect a BL5 to a high-end (none B&O) amp. That suddenly

Alex: The BeoSound 5 is not a fancy bit of software, it is a physical, touchable, useable product! You're talking in the present term Alex, as if we can do that at our dealer, right now.. It ain't usable if it's not available :)

mason: £3,500?? – I was told around £1700 at the Knightsbridge store. It had better do something impressive for 3.5K. I was originally told £2500, so £3500 was a lot more than I'd expect to pay. Demo units are with dealers 'within a month', so we should be able to see for ourselves, soon..

I was told today that the Beosound 5 will be £3500 in the UK, available March 2009.

jk1002: Thanks, finally somebody agrees with this. I am really surprised that people are more concerned about missing apple lossless then operating that thing with Beo4 versus a 2 way remote. Correct. Like Peter, I use my iPod Touch as a two-way remote to my media server, which is an old Mac Mini. It's a cheap <£500 solution that works

  • Re: BV7 40 MKIII / SW 4.24 problem

Weebyx: I have a PS3 connected via HDMI, and it works fine with my NYKO remote. However BV7 and SW4.24a has an issue which causes the BV7 to crash when watching a HDMI source which is not connected via scart also. I don't know if this is exactly true. I have an STB connected by both HDMI and scart and I experience the crash-off issue all the time

  • Re: BeoSound 5 Photos

mobeyone: Sits firmly on the fence... but I have to say that first impressions do last.. and I have to say I am not impressed. Same here, looks plain bizarre. Almost too 'futuristic' for B&O

No, just what he's heard. Let's just wait and see guys. Who knows. Speculate when we have something to speculate about. At the moment, we don't even have a release date..

  • Re: Beovision 7-32 without dvd

BEOKNOW: Uk price will be approx £1000 less.. That's mental. I wonder if I can give my BV7-40 back, get a version without DVD player and just use the PS3....saving £1000? :)
