Die_Bogener: Yes, 5500 -6500- 7000 look very similar. Especially the CPU board is almost identical, but only at the first look. They are all different. It is possible to use a 6500 CPU in a BM5500, just plugin, finished. It will work just like a real 6500... but the Aux-/Speakerlink Port wont work, a cable is missing, it will not send or receive data
