In no way are they the same TV. I can absolutely guarantee that the components shared by those TVs stop at the panel. They are completely different sets internally with the exception of the panel.

It's just a cone replacement, which is no way near enough to call for a replacement. Very cheap to repair and very routine operation for any engineer. I'd just talk to your local dealer...

LED displays also have practically zero warm up time. The display on my old MacBook Pro (standard LCD display) took a minute or so before it reached full brightness/correct colour balance. My newer MacBook Pro (with an LED display) warms up in under a second, and is much MUCH brighter, much more even and also has a much longer batterylife...

PowerLink won't do anything. It's like connecting both your taps together, they'll just try and spew water (in this case, signals) towards each other. PowerLink is for connecting a TV or HiFi to a pair of speakers, not to other components.
