BEOKNOW: This is B&O we are talking about here!! Yes, true, but then they are announcing a 'new strategy' which differs from before. So, we're thinking of ideas that a) differs from the norm and b) would stimulate their existing userbase to go out and buy more B&O. Remember, it's the existing customer who are the most likely

BEOKNOW: You'll love me Moxxey... but 20% off to existing customers would be financial suicide for B&O dealers - there would be little to no profit to keep the business running! No, any discount would be incorporated by B&O's 'strategy'. Not the dealer. I'm saying that B&O needs to work back from the ground up and make

My initial strategy would to make my existing, valued, userbase feel like kings. I would get local stores to call their local customer base and give them a reallly good incentive to visit their store, particularly when the new Beosound 5 is available. Perhaps a potential discounted promo to encourage pre-orders for important existing customers. 'We

Dave: It looks so cool I think appearance is objective. I neither love nor hate the design based on the images. I'm impartial on that. However, I won't be buying it as it looks 'so cool'. I would have bought a Beocenter 2 for that reason. If it's just a device to control digital audio, I expect it to be priced to reflect that functionality

  • Re: Beovision 8 - 32 LCD Television

The BV8 is 'ok'. Good picture and excellent sound. If you push hard, you may be able to receive a further discount. Indeed, I managed to buy my BV8-26 from a dealer and saved 15% from the RRP. Ask and be prepared to walk away if necessary. With the discount and a trade-in, it starts representing better value. However, I don't think it ships

Dave: I think B&o know what they're doing, ease up on the skepticism and nit picking it's getting really irritating for those of us who are loyal to the brand and it's astronomical achievements thus far. For heavens sake! Dave, I think you need to define 'loyalty'. I have more modern B&O equipment than most, but I'm no

wtlc2zpx: Yes and they look great together. No denying that. BC2, after so many years, still looks like a 'wow' product. Expensive, but superb.

timhanna: I see what you mean for the DVD free BV7, but i think half the wow factor is that DVD player. I guess, its probably better not to have many eggs in one basket, i.e. more seperate units since they are cheaper to replace/repair/upgrade. There's no 'wow' about the BV7 anymore. It's a TV with a DVD player. Well made TV with DVD
