The tiny dot is the standby indicator. To switch the Beomaster ON, you need to select a source like f.e. FM, Tape or Phono. STORE is for storing preset stations once tuned in. Martin

Looks very good. Photoshop ? Martin

Welcome to Beoworld ! If it's the "tuner only" version, I may have one. I will check. Martin

The Beovox S45 (type 6427) woofer is a 6.4 Ohm impedance driver which means that it will be practically impossible to cross to a modern driver. I may have a pair of good used original woofers already refoam'ed, I will check. Re finish, these speakers were actually produced in white though a bit rare to see. Martin

Dont' replace the woofers. Have them refoam'ed instead. It's the best and cheapest solution. Martin

Yes, that's the one. You cannot easily isolate the capacitor without isolating the whole power supply circuit. Unscrew the bottom plate from the Beomaster and put an ohmmeter across the capacitor (center pin to any of the three outer pins). If you don't feel able to perform the repair, better leave it alone and let someone with better knowledge

Welcome to Beoworld ! There can be many reasons but one I've seen a couple of times is the large (4-pin radial) capacitor right at the corner of the board, just where the mains power cord comes in. If this is shorted you should also check (or simply replace) the large rectifier. Martin

Thanks, greatly appreciated ! Martin

Take it out, take it apart, clean the contacts and put it back together. Or Take it out and send it to me. Or Let me have a look in the dungeons and see if I can find a good used one. Martin

Welcome to Beoworld ! There are a few things to check; Make sure that you have connected each pair of speakers to a left/right pair of connectors respectively. Speaker set 2 has a switch at the extreme lower front of the Beocenter (not all owners are aware of this). Check also that the balance control slider is centered. If all this is checked and the
