Totally agree with this - anything by New Order is good. Been listening to the album 'Republic' tonight and it's great! 'Regret's' recycled Joy Division riff is amazing! What's the worst song on B&O equipment though??? Let me again put forward a vinyl 7 inch single version of Gazza and Lindisfarne's 'Fog on the

Wow! What a varied response in terms of set ups and musical taste :) It's good to see that there are others keeping the indie flag flying out there and I'm not the only one stuck listening to Oasis, The Charlatans etc. on my system. As I started the thread, I'll add that my second favourite song is 'History' by The Verve - the strings

Just been listening to some music this afternoon and was wondering what others' favourite song is and what their favourite B&O set up is/would be to listen to it through? I reckon there will be a wide range of opinions on this one! To start the ball rolling I would say that my favourite is the CD single version of 'Forever' by The Charlatans

I like the damped action on the volume wheel on the Beomaster 8000, compared with the undamped frequency wheel. Very necessary and very well thought through! I also like the way you can get the time by pressing 'Status' on an MCP5000 without turning on the Beosystem. Very useful if you want to use the MCP as a bedside clock :)

Thanks Martin I have the black faced version, so will make sure I remove the 4 knobs before I take the Beomaster out of the casing! John

I have an AC version of the 4002 and it is a lovely deck. I was looking for a 4000 as it was the first in the series and had some of the overengineering that tends to get me quite excited, but as I couldn't find one I settled on a very nice 4002 that I bought from eBay. Peter is the expert here and thinks they sound similar, so I guess the questions

Afternoon all I recently purchased a Beomaster 900K from eBay as a wedding present for friends who had long admired the Beomaster 900M and Beovox 1000s in my kitchen. When I bought it I knew there were some slight scratches on the top of the cabinet, and know someone who can sort these out for me. The question I have is whether the Beomaster can easily

I think Erik wants the Beovox Pentas for their looks and sound quality, but would be let down with the 40W amp in the BC8000. Let's be honest here, a 40W amp into those speakers is going to struggle, and I know this is the case from hooking up to my BM5000 at 55W - it's not man enough in my 2 up 2 down 12x12 foot roomed house, so how is the

I defo don't want to start any debate about cabling in general, but I'd like to know how a £500 mains lead can improve the quality of the electricity from the 2p a metre twin and earth cabling to domestic sockets in houses? I know you can go mental and rewire your house with crazy cabling, but how many people who buy £500 mains leads
