• Re: Worst Bang & Olufsen product ever designed?

Beolab1: Never realised what I would start with this topic. I'ts been going on for days now. And in recognition of this I thought it might be a good idea to make a poll of it, it's been a while since we had one. I've listed the main contenders from the thread. VOTE X25's!! Chris.

  • Re: Beogram 7000 turntable needs new main drive motor and diagrams for wire, attach to arm

You can also use the motors form the following :- Beocenter 2200 (probably your cheapest option) Beograms 5000, 1800, 2000, RX, RX2 (all 1980's models) and the TX (you will need to swap the pully on this one for yours) & TX2. The diagram for threading the cord is in the service manual section of Beoworld which is available for download to all

  • Re: BG 4002 Tone arm lowering issues

First of all I would change my friends! I'm not sure about the tracking but the slow lowering of the tonearm could be caused by the mechanism needing cleaning - not unusual with these. There is a "pantograph" type assembly between the solenoid and the tonearm mechanism which quite often becomes stiff over time. It requires the removal

wirralsimon: Chris It is time for you to get off the fence and tell us whether or not you like the X25s! Simon AND they are greyer than John Major after rolling in a dust bath just to ensure total banality.

  • Re: Worst Bang & Olufsen product ever designed?

nobby: Will anyone own up to liking the Beocentre 2200? If not, then that surely is the winner Neil If it wasn't for the half decent turntable section I would agree with you there Neil. It was superbly matched by the appalling Beovox X25's (I'm determined for them to be considered the worst B&O product of all time). Chris.

  • Re: Beomaster 3300

Hi Garry & welcome to Beoworld. The service manual is available for download from the products section of the Beoworld homepage. You need minimum silver membership to access these this and other manuals though. The chances are that aging capacitors are the problem as these are renowned for causing all manner of weird problems. Chris.

  • Re: My first B&O product: Beovox MC120.2

Friedmett: What's wrong with vintage? Age? Repairs or just the look? The sound is just as great as any new hifi out today. A Beomaster 6000 '80s would be the perfect amp. I couldn't agree more. I'm actually using mine with a Beomaster 5500 and they sound just sublime By choice though I would go for a 4400 without a doubt (if SWMBO would

I have to admit I was fishing a little there Andy, I know you've been after one and thought you might have just found one and mobed it to death. Chris.
