The reading across the capacitor sounds right. A similar reading across the rectifier (across the ~ pins) could be interesting but first unplug the connector from the transformer to the main board or you will measure into that too. Martin

Sure, why not put a CD player into a Beocord casing to match the design ? This is something that I've heard much about but never saw a nice finished result. A datalink CD player would of course be preferred. That should keep you busy for a couple of hours. Martin

It's very common to see the front panel of the BM5000 completely disabled by a broken ribbon cable inside the Beomaster. I suggest you try using a remote, that'll be a Terminal 5000 or a Master Control Panel 5000 if you have one of them. Martin

All Beovox 2700 and 2702 suffer from foam rot. Very much so. But can be repaired, I've done a lot. The front grill is glued to the aluminum strip. Insert a 2-3cm wide spatula between the alu strip and the front grill and carefully lever the grill up, a little at a time, working your way around the grill a couple of times and it will eventually come
