Welcome to Beoworld ! A bit too new for me to know a lot about really, but is it in a link setup ? Some items will, when f.e. in some MCL setups, only respond to some commands - or none at all. Maybe you should check option settings etc. Martin

The reading across the capacitor sounds right. A similar reading across the rectifier (across the ~ pins) could be interesting but first unplug the connector from the transformer to the main board or you will measure into that too. Martin

Yes, 200 or 220 Ohm will be acceptable. Martin

Sure, why not put a CD player into a Beocord casing to match the design ? This is something that I've heard much about but never saw a nice finished result. A datalink CD player would of course be preferred. That should keep you busy for a couple of hours. Martin

It's very common to see the front panel of the BM5000 completely disabled by a broken ribbon cable inside the Beomaster. I suggest you try using a remote, that'll be a Terminal 5000 or a Master Control Panel 5000 if you have one of them. Martin

It's just that the two photos are not just identical - they are I-DEN-TI-CAL apart from the 9000-knobs. Not a shadow changed, not a thing moved, even the camera at the exact same spot. All Beovox 2700 and 2702 suffer from foam rot. Very much so. But can be repaired, I've done a lot. The front grill is glued to the aluminum strip. Insert a 2-3cm wide spatula between the alu strip and the front grill and carefully lever the grill up, a little at a time, working your way around the grill a couple of times and it will eventually come
