From ZDnet: http://blogs.zdnet.com/storage/?p=365&tag=nl.e550 I've always said that Blu-ray discs are way overpriced and they are priced that way for a reason. Transformers was on offer for £15 at HMV the other day, when the SD-DVD was only £5. Same with many other DVDs.

RussR: Missing out on what exactly? Component cables are perfectly capable Fine and true, but how do you connect three HDMI devices to a single component input? I'm not getting behind my TV to switch them around and I'm not going to get a switcher, either. This sw 4.24 problem has been ongoing since July. B&O should have had this fixed by

takktakk: I own a BV 40-7 with the BL 7-4 and BL 9 on the sides. When watching movies it is obvious for me to use all three speakers, but when listening to music i only use the BL 9's. Good point. I've played a few audio CDs via the same setup and they always sound way too 'bright' for me compared to my Beosound 4 + BL3. That offers

linder: I was told by B&O several months ago to expect the price to be between $5000 and $6000 USD. I should have known they meant the higher price. I guess its like buying a Beosound 9000 in a sense. $6000 is £3800. Let's see what it's like when it's in-store. Only 3 weeks before we can preview it, live! I hope the BM5 part isn't

As Alex suggested, 1080p only has it's benefits when watching Blu-ray DVDs or 1080p-based Playstation 3 games. As television (SD or HD) pictures have to be up-scaled for your 1080p screen, watching standard TV will be worse on a 1080p screen than the 720p. I recently saw a 720p-based BV9 for £8995 which was classed as 'mint'. Look

I was told by my dealer that this is a common problem when I brought my BS3 in this week - it was switching off for no reason. Now the top plate doesn't always respond. Take it back and they'll replace the top unit.

DiaBandO: According to the new pricelist it's gonna cost € 4.825,00 in Holland (BM 5 + BS 5) That's nearly £4000. Is it only me that thinks that's very expensive?

Alex: Either way, the RF modulator is something I can understand. But it's huge. One huge box behind the TV. Mind you, the Beocenter 2 socket box is even larger. Why so big. I'm confused.

I've just picked up some second-hand BL5's (thanks Lee) and they are quite frankly, superb. I also own the BL3s and BL9s and the BL5s offer a great all-round audio experience. Tracks I've heard on the BL3s or 9s sound even more dynamic with the BL5s. However, I'd say that the treble is better balanced than on the BL9s. The same tracks

Dave: Are you joking? You need to plug the TV in or it doesn't turn on and your Beolabs won't make sound good grief I have absolutely no idea what you mean. My comment is about the additional link box required for linking two B&O TVs.
