bayerische: I just set up my iPhone as a remote to my iTunes, and connected it to the BS9000 aux via the airport base station. Man this is SWEET! Not according to Trip it isn't! ;) Seriously, I'm now 95% happy with my B&O equipment after some serious investment during the last 12 months: Beolab 5s - worked straight out of the box. Superb
-
TripEnglish: Be careful about claims of a "better" solution. I never claimed 'better'. I just said that it could be more wise to invest your bucks in other B&O equipment and use another system to stream and manage your audio. The quality of the sound from an Airport Express setup will depend on how you've ripped your audio

joeyboygolf: You won't be surprised therfore to find that I'm from the same camp. B&O don't give a frig for all you anoraks out there. The majority of you can't/won't afford it.. It's not a question of whether we can or won't afford it. I think you'd be surprised. However, it's a question of whether it represents

I've just purchased (well, yet to pay, but it's installed..) a Beocenter 2 and it's superb with my existing 'Mac Mini as a media server' setup. Bought a cheap 802.11n Airport Express as it's situated quite a distance from my wireless router, in an old house. Connected these two and then use the iPod Touch as a cheap two-way remote

thorne: Also, my BV7 is HD ready of course, but I do not have a sky HD box so do not watch anything in HD Your subject line was 'with Sky', so I assumed you were using HDMI, which is a reason why you get the delay after opening the curtains. If you don't know what happened, you are best asking your dealer. If they didn't update the sw

KingOfSnake: It is a D.I.Y. job....you need a pair of service legs And that's a DIY job? I'm sure my dealer wouldn't be keen if I started to do that myself - there's a good chance it might void the warranty.
-
thorne: Thanks, that's reassuring but it never used to be like that and the work I mentioned didn't involve any software updates Are you sure? The dealer can't do a huge amount with your TV apart from sw upgrades. You might not have even noticed? However, one thing might have changed - they might have changed the HD module in your BV7, which

Whether this is correct or not, I once asked how 'easy' it was to change my old BV7-32 from a standard aluminium to an all-black finish. I was told it was easier and cheaper to swap out the TV! It's dead easy to change the speaker covers as Razlaw said. I can't see how it's possible to change the aluminium on a shipped BV7.
-
No, this is absolutely standard on the BV7 with Sky. It happened with a recent software update. I think sw 4.17. Reason? The Sky box has to handshake with your TV, so the BV7 doesn't show the image for some time after starting up. It *is* annoying, I know. It never used to be as long as this - sometimes it can be up to 15 seconds after you turn

My BS3 is currently back at my dealer, faulty. However, the worst thing for me (and it's not the lack of DAB or AM) is the inability to control the device from the Beo4. If I'm on an important call, I want to switch it off immediately..
