Just wanted to say I'm here too. Many greetings from Franconia! (Yes, we still refuse to be part of Germany. Especially after 9pm. )

I already replaced the caps some time ago (at least all except the bipolar ones - I wasn't able to source these). But I don't think the problem is in the amplifier - I tested the amplifier in the other 6000 and it was working (well, the left channel is missing, but I was going to look at that as soon as everything else works). At least the other

Hi, just a short update to let you know what happened: I replaced C1 with a new cap today and now the power supply seems to work again. Which means the BM works fine, sound is great, but: The BM keeps switching itself off after about 30 seconds. Any ideas what might cause this? I had a similar problem on my second 6000 - that one had a fault in the

Hi Alaumeise, Sorry, I was just congratulating Jouni on his success with your suggestion to cut the belt that Martin had given to you.
I understood that, I was just wanted to share my experience too as you only asked Jouni.
Sorry for using a bit wrong words for the display

Out of interest how much did you cut out? It looks around 5 or 6mm? Would that be about right?
I'm not Jouni, but as I said I did the same thing on two 6000s some time ago....I did cut out approximately 1cm. One of them is in daily use with that repaired belt and has been working fine for one month

Just cut out a piece of the old belt and glue it back together using cyanoacrylate. I once asked Dillen if he had spare belts available and he gave me this hint.... I guess it is not a really permanent solution but it worked fine on my two 6000s. And they are still working today...
Put an ohmmeter across C1. You can't tell if a capacitor is good merely by looking at it. Martin
Sorry, I have no idea how to test if a capacitor is working or not... Resistance is 0Ω....I guess that means it is broken?
When you unsoldered those caps did you try switching
