Just realised the font size is unreadable on previous post, so reposted for those of us wuth normal sight! I’ve just realised that yesterday was the second anniversary of my joining Beoworld, and when you get to my age, any anniversary is worthy of celebration. In those two years I’ve gone from contented owner of a Beosystem 2500, a Beosystem

I’ve just realised that yesterday was the second anniversary of my joining Beoworld, and when you get to my age, any anniversary is worthy of celebration. In those two years I’ve gone from contented owner of a Beosystem 2500, a Beosystem 10 and an MX 1500, all of which I’d owned from new in the early 90s, to a ravening collector/addict
there's some sonab OA4 type 2's on ebay at the moment . Would they be any good?
It depends what you want. If you want sharp, pinpoint imaging and accuracy then they probably won't be ideal. However, they do have an ability to work in almost any location in a room - positioning isn't as important
The price of a fully specced 5000 system with speakers, Beogram and Beocord reel to reel would be £7909.12. Makes you think!!
Which I think puts the current cost of a fully restored 5000 system from Frede into true perspective and presents it as something of a real bargain, particularly as many aspects
I've had a 4400 but sold it recently because I missed the advantages of the modern era sets (remote control etc). Heard the 4400 through S45-2's and the difference with the 45-2's coupled to the 9500 was in fact astonishing, in volume and "body". I didn't knew the S45-2's were capable of such
